Regional Conderence: 14-th International ITUC/PERC Trade Union Women's School

This annual trade union women's conference of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC)/Pan-european Regional Council (PERC) is organized in cooperation with the Bulgaria Office of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung and as a debate platform is to ensure high level trade union representation on issues established by the preparatory group meetings. The event aims at: discussing policies to make it easier for women and men to strike the right work-life balance, and the unequal distribution of domestic and family chores, as well as policy and activities to increase the number of women in decision-making positions in the past few years; evaluation of efficiency of measures adopted: training courses and tailored campaigns, representativity reports.

The main goal of the conference is to outline common coordinated actions, to announce strategies and policies for guaranteeing the rights of foreigners, who are looking or who have already received protection in the Republic of Bulgaria and in Europe. Members of the National and European Parliaments, Representatives of ministries and institutions competent in the field of implementing the national and international policies for foreigners looking or received protection, are invited, as well as agencies, representatives of the local municipal authorities where centers for temporary accommodation were build, employers organizations, representatives of the New Bulgarian University and the academic community, main members of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB) and representatives of the non-governmental sector in Bulgaria.
